al-Ghossain, Alghossain, el-Ghossein Alghossein, Ghossayn, Ghoussain Ghussain, Gossain, Gossayn, Gossine , Gosine or any variation of the name in the western languages with or without el, or al added

The reason for the variation in the spelling is that the name is an Arabic name, and originally written with Arabic letters. Some of the Arabic letters do not have an equivalent in the Latin alphabet. It was spelled in the countries which use the Latin alphabet phonetically. 

  Please use Google translator or any web based translator to translate the Arabic part of the articles to English, and the English part to Arabic. I recommend reading the Arabic article first, or the al-Ghossain in South Africa, which is written in English, and has good information about the history of the family in its original country Lebanon. 

The old Lebanese tradition was to call their first born son after the grand father (the father’s father), and the second name of the sons, and daughters was always their fathers’ first name. Tony Doumit Moses Younis Massoud Younis al-Ghossain means: Tony son of Doumit son of Moses son of Younis son of Massoud son of Younis …………al-Ghossain.
